Install FireAI and finish Setup

FireAI can only watch and block connections once macOS itself approves two things. FireAI can open the right screen for you, but only you can click Allow.

Move FireAI to Applications

1. Open FireAI. Setup greets you with “Let’s protect your Mac” and a Get Started button.
2. If FireAI isn’t already in your Applications folder, the first card reads “Move FireAI to Applications”. Click Move and Reopen. FireAI moves itself there and opens again; nothing else changes.

Allow FireAI to see connections

1. Click Open System Settings on the “Allow FireAI to see connections” card.
2. macOS shows a “System Extension Blocked” notice the first time you launch FireAI — that’s expected.
3. In System Settings, go to General › Login Items & Extensions › Network Extensions.
4. Turn the extension on and confirm with Touch ID or your password.

Turn on protection

1. Back in Setup, click Turn On.
2. macOS shows its own alert asking whether the filter may inspect network content — click Allow.

You’re set

Once all three cards turn green, Setup offers Start Using FireAI. Nothing is lost if you stop partway: Setup stays in the sidebar, marked, until every step is done, and you can pick it up later. Next, see answering your first connection prompt.
