Set up Child Safety First on your child’s Mac

1. Open FireAI and make sure protection is on (the switch at the bottom of the sidebar).
2. Click Parental Controls in the sidebar (or press ⌘8).
3. Turn on Child Safety First. The NSFW, Gambling, Drugs and Gaming shields switch on, and so does Safari only.
4. Wait until each shield shows how many sites it blocks (a few seconds on a normal connection).
5. Optional: turn on Ads & Trackers and Malware & Scams too.

Check that it works

1. In Safari, open a well-known game site, such as roblox.com. The page doesn’t load.
2. Open a site you trust, such as wikipedia.org. It loads normally.
3. Open Chrome or Firefox if they’re installed. They can’t reach any site while Safari only is on.

Turning it off

Turn Child Safety First off in the same place, or type “turn off child safety” in Ask FireAI. Shields you had on before stay on.
