FireAI Pilot learns each Wi-Fi network and each security mode
Decide once per place: FireAI Pilot remembers that home, the café and the jobsite are different.

The same app can be welcome on one network and unwelcome on another. A sync client is fine on your home Wi-Fi; on an open café network or a shared jobsite Wi-Fi you may want it to wait. From FireAI 0.1.8, FireAI Pilot learns that difference from your own answers instead of applying one profile everywhere.
What FireAI Pilot takes into account
When a connection comes up that you haven’t decided yet, FireAI Pilot weighs four kinds of lesson together:

What you see
- Each FireAI Pilot decision in Suggestions lists its main reasons. Network lessons read like “this app on this network”, “telemetry traffic on open Wi-Fi” or “this app in Coffee shop mode”.
- Your own past decisions made on another network count for about a third as much as decisions made here. A block you chose on the jobsite Wi-Fi is a hint at home, never the deciding vote.
- When your choices on different networks disagree, FireAI Pilot asks you instead of guessing. After one or two answers it knows the difference.
- Once FireAI has remembered some of your decisions, Suggestions › What FireAI learned from you says whether per-network learning is on.
Turn it on
- Turn on FireAI Pilot.
- Allow Location when FireAI asks, or click Allow Location… in Suggestions › What FireAI learned from you. macOS reveals the name of the Wi-Fi network only to apps with Location permission; FireAI uses it to tell networks apart and nothing else.
- Optional: save your places in Switch profiles by Wi-Fi. Every Wi-Fi of a saved place (for example the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks of the same router) then learns together.
Limits
- Without Location permission, or on a wired connection, FireAI can’t tell networks apart: FireAI Pilot then learns one profile for the whole Mac, as before 0.1.8.
- Renaming a saved place starts its network lessons again; the lessons that apply everywhere are kept.
- Per-network learning changes what FireAI Pilot suggests and decides. It never overrides your own rules, the security mode’s blocks or the kill switch.
