FireAI says “Filter offline” or shows no connections

FireAI’s protection runs in a network filter that macOS starts for it. If the sidebar card says Filter offline, or the World map says “No connections yet” while you are clearly online, macOS has not started the filter, or has not let it talk to the app yet. See how the network filter works for what the filter actually does.

Try these, in order

1. Open Setup in the sidebar. If a step is not ticked, follow it: FireAI must be in Applications, and its filter must be allowed.
2. Open System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions › Network Extensions, and make sure “FirewAi Filter” is on.
3. Open System Settings › Network › Filters. If FirewAi is listed as off, turn it on. If it is on but nothing works, turn it off and on again.
4. Quit FireAI and open it again. The status should change to Filter connected within a few seconds.
5. Still offline? Restart the Mac: macOS then starts the filter from scratch.
