# FireAI doesn’t offer the new version

> If FireAI doesn’t offer the new version on your Mac, check for it yourself and finish installing it.

**Onde no FireAI:** Settings › FireAI updates

Get the latest fixes as soon as they are out.

1. Open Settings › FireAI updates. If it is set to “Only when I ask”, FireAI never checks on its own: click Check for Updates.
2. The automatic check runs at most once a day, so a version released this morning may take until tomorrow to appear. Check for Updates asks right away.
3. When a version is offered, click Download and Open, then drag FireAI to Applications to replace the old one. Your rules and settings stay.
4. Open the new FireAI. macOS may ask you to approve its updated network filter: allow it, or the sidebar will say Filter offline.

> **Note:** The check only asks FireAI’s server for the latest version number; it needs an internet connection and sends nothing about you or your connections. See [getting updates automatically](https://hisnlabs.com/fireai/en/docs/get-updates-automatically) to avoid checking by hand.
