# Check for updates from the FireAI menu

> Check for FireAI updates from the menu bar with one click, and see the result right in the About window.

**Dónde en FireAI:** FireAI › Check for Updates…

Know in a second whether you are up to date.

1. In the menu bar, choose FireAI › Check for Updates…
2. The About window opens and the check starts: a ring spins around the update icon while FireAI asks for the latest version.
3. A green check mark means you have the latest version. If a new one is out, its name appears with Download and Open.

## Good to know

> **Note:** The same animated check is in Settings › FireAI updates. With Reduce Motion turned on in macOS, the animation stays still. To have FireAI check on its own instead, see [getting updates automatically](https://hisnlabs.com/fireai/en/docs/get-updates-automatically).
