# Timed rules: only at night, only during work hours, only on weekends

Say when a rule should apply, and FireAI keeps it to that window automatically.

A rule can carry a time window, so it only applies then and leaves your general rules alone the rest of the time. FireAI understands four built-in windows: at night (22:00–07:00), in the evening (18:00–22:00), during work hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00), and on weekends.

> **Warning:** There’s no schedule picker in the Rules page today: a timed rule can only be created by saying it to Ask FireAI, for example “block Fortnite at night” or “allow Zoom during work hours”. Once created, it appears in Rules with its time window written into the rule’s own sentence, like any other rule.
