# Your own IP blocklist

> Keep your own IP blocklist on your Mac of addresses or address ranges that no app may reach, and block one the moment you know about it.

FireAI Docs (HisnLabs) · Feature · Available since FireAI 0.1.0
Canonical: https://hisnlabs.com/fireai/en/docs/ip-blocklists

**Where in FireAI:** Protection › Blocklists › Your own blocklist

Block an address the moment you know about it, instead of waiting for a prompt.

“Lists of places no app may reach. An Allow rule you made for one app still wins.” Add a single address like 203.0.113.7, or a range like 198.51.100.0/24, then click Add to blocklist.

- Open the Details disclosure to see and remove entries one at a time, or click Clear to empty the whole list.
- The same Details section has a self-test: Block 1.1.1.1 (or Unblock 1.1.1.1) tells you plainly whether it worked — “Test: 1.1.1.1 is blocked for every app” or “…is not blocked for every app” — with a hint to double-check yourself: `curl --max-time 3 https://1.1.1.1`.

> **Note:** This is enforced by FireAI’s own content filter, so it only applies while the filter is running. It’s separate from the opt-in threat-intelligence feeds, which block addresses and websites from public lists instead of ones you type in yourself. See [threat lists](https://hisnlabs.com/fireai/en/docs/threat-intelligence-feeds) for that opt-in option.
